CRPA Host 3rd Annual Guns and Hoses 5K Charity Race

Join forces Saturday, February 28, 2009 with Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency, the Cherokee County Fire Department and the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office to raise money for two charity causes. The race itself begins at 8:00AM (Race Day Registration at 7:00AM). As a runner, you will pick the team you want to run for, Guns or Hoses, and $5.00 of your registration fee will be donated to their respective charity organization. The Sheriff’s Office will donate to the CASA which is Court Appointed Special Advocates for children. CASA is a non-profit organization that assists children who have been victims of neglect and abuse find safe, permanent homes. The Fire Department will donate to the Kaleidoscope ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) School which is a school that specializes in children with autism.

Long sleeved shirts in red for the Hoses and black for the Guns will be made available in your race packet and we ask that you show your support race day.

Awards will be given in both male and female divisions and in a variety of age groups. Register online at www.active.com NOW! The cost is $20 pre-registration, $25 race day.
