Summit Lacrosse Camp

Summit Lacrosse Camp offers the opportunity for intermediate and experienced boys and girls players to bring their game to the next level.  The coaches will help teach participants techniques and strategies on advancing their skills, what an official is looking for, and also what college coaches will be looking for in their player’s skill, work ethic, and attitude. Campers will find position specific training for offense, defense, and goalie!  Throughout the camp there will be fun games, activities, and opportunities to win awards!! Heading up the camp will be Adam Easterbrook (Boys) and Jenna Kasmarik (Girls). Camp dates are May 30, 2017 – June 2, 2017 from 9:00am – 12:00pm daily. The cost is $170 per camper.

Camp Director, Adam Easterbrook, was a two-year starter in goal while leading the Michigan State Spartans to the CCLA Final Four each year.  He ranked #2 in the conference in save percentage each year and was named Captain his senior year. In the summer of 2002, Easterbrook was selected to the USA West Lacrosse team and traveled to the Far East to teach the game of lacrosse and was the first team to ever play lacrosse in China!  After college, Easterbrook began his coaching career at Merrimack College (NCAA Division II) where he was the Associate Head Coach while handling Defensive Coordinator and Recruiting responsibilities.  Upon Coach Easterbrook’s arrival, the team improved from 3-9 to 11-5 (9-1 conference) within 2 years and ranked in the Top 10 Nationally.  In 2006, Coach Easterbrook moved to Michigan and led the University of Detroit Jesuit HS team to a Final Four berth. Coach Easterbrook has been a coach for Cherokee Youth Lacrosse (C YL) for 5 seasons now.

Heading up the girls’ side of camp will be Jenna Kasmarik. She spent her high school career at South Forsyth and Lambert. She was a 2x All-American who led the state her senior year with 112 goals, garnering 330 goals in her high school career. Transferring her junior season from Johns Hopkins University to help build Winthrop’s second year Division I program, she set the Big South Conference and Winthrop University record for goals in a season at 67 – also ranking #5 in the country in Division I. Her senior year she led the team to their first ever Big South Women’s Lacrosse Conference Championship as just a third year program. She set the Big South and Winthrop record again for goals in a season with 78 – ranking #1 in the country in goals and goals per game. She was selected as a 2x First Team Big South All Conference Selection and a 2015 Big South Offensive Player of the Year. To cap off her senior campaign, she was awarded the Rock Hill Coca-Cola Award – presented to the male and female athlete who demonstrates talent, integrity, and spirit. After college, Jenna joined Lindenwood University’s Women’s Lacrosse staff as a graduate assistant for the 2016 season ranking in the Top 5 of Division II the entire season and making a second consecutive appearance in the Final Four. After a year in the college ranks, Jenna returned home to Georgia and joined Lassiter High School’s coaching staff as a community coach, working primarily as their offensive coordinator and also coaching with Eagle Stix in the summer.

Also helping with the camp will be high school players from the Metro Atlanta area which are all going on to play at top level NCAA Programs (Bucknell, Mercyhurst, Hampden-Sydney, etc).
